Got Mail?

I finally got my hands on a gmail account. I had given up on it actually, b/c I have used yahoo since day one (back in 97) and that bumped up their features. Then I thought gmail was public, but for some strange reason, it's still in beta. I even turned down a few offers from readers of this site.

Anyway, if you would like a free gmail offer with no strings attached, leave a comment or email me.

New Links

I discovered a few cool links while online tonight:

the first is google maps, which is beta form now. Its a new, dynamic, interactive kind of online maps. Check it out here!   Thanks to DJ Chuang for the link.

And also, there is a must read article from Wired about SmartWater  that contains microscopic particles encoded with a unique forensic signature that can provide a precise trace back to the owner.

Worship Software

If you are in the market for a worship software program and have realized that powerpoint sucks for it, I highly recommend Presentation Manager . It does everything you could want, including video over text and whatever else Mediashout or Sunday plus can. The best part? Instead of 300 or 400 bucks, you can get started for only 200. We use it every week and totally love it. The trial version that you download is the full program, you can use it right away and save your work, unlike Mediashout.

Sermon Spice

With your pajamas snug, your feet clad in bunny slippers, and a tub of ice cream on the desk, your computer glows in front of you. The clock reads 2 a.m. In other words, time for class.

This isn't a dream, but a reality for hundreds of thousands of students. Although brick-and-mortar institutions still dominate the educational landscape, a new form of schooling -- called online or e-learning -- has skyrocketed in popularity in recent years.
